I want to add to my booking

Please use the booking site to add the missing details. Please do so before the bookings deadline of 10 March.

What about Young Leaders?

Young Leaders are part of the Leadership Team for the camp. We welcome them to attend, with or without their families. A Young Leader would need to be registered and have attended Module A training.

How much is camp?

£65 per camper aged six and over. Children aged five and under cost £18 – which is just the campsite pitch fee

What does that fee cover?

The fee covers three days of food (including a hot meal on the Friday evening after you arrive), site fees, activities and fun!

How do I pay?

Once you have booked, we will send you an invoice within seven days. Payment to 28th Croydon Scouts bank account. Or we can accept cheque or cash.

Is my deposit refundable?

Deposits and payments are not normally refundable. 28th Croydon incur expenses that we cannot recoup.

Do we need to come for the whole weekend?

Yes! Why miss out on any of the fun? Your patrol needs you to help with the games, cooking and tasks.

What about transport?

Please make your own way to the site

Do we need a tent?

Your choice whether to bring your own tent, or hire one from 28th Croydon.

Is there anything special I need to bring?

We will provide you with a suggested kit list nearer the time. It will be things like sleeping bags, roll mats (or similar) hike boots or strong shoes, torch, camp chair (optional).

Do I need a DBS check?

It is a requirement of The Scout Association that all adults aged 18 and over who attend a nights away event, eg a camp, must be cleared through the National DBS scheme. If you do not already hold a Scouts DBS certificate you will be invited to attend a DBS session at our HQ. For this reason we are capturing some personal information on the booking form. Will you need help to load and unload equipment ?

We will need lots of help to load all our tentages, cooking equipment and everything needed to make a camp. This is likely to be on the Thursday before camp. Date to be confirmed. Unloading will take place directly after camp. Please follow us back to HQ to help us unload.

Will we have fun?

Yes definitely? Just ask one of the families who came to Family Camp 2019!
